Services Offered In Our Cedar Point Location:

Ultrasound – a safe and painless imaging process that produces pictures of the inside of the body using sound waves. Sonography involves the use of a small transducer (probe) and ultrasound gel that is placed directly onto the skin. High-frequency sound waves are transmitted from the probe, through the gel, and then the transducer collects the sounds that bounce back to create an image. Ultrasounds do not use radiation, so there is no risk or exposure. Since these images are captured in real-time, they show structure and movement in the body.

Along with seeing general movement, ultrasounds can also evaluate the body’s circulatory system and help identify blockages/blood clots. Doppler ultrasound study is a technique that evaluates blood flow through a vessel and is usually the exam. Get more information on ultrasounds by clicking the picture to the left!
